Emergency service DJ trio to take on Scotland's best

AN emergency services DJ trio will take on the famous Clyde 1 GBX team in a DJ battle to raise money for Cash for Kids.

The event is being led by Leverndale Station Ambulance Care Assistant and Part time DJ, Dean Burnett, Chris Daly, of Police Scotland and Gareth Price of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

The fundraiser will be held on August 23 at Platform Glasgow and will involve Dean joining forces with DJs from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland. They will take on the Clyde 1 team, which includes George Bowie.

Dean said: “This full day event promises to bring the best in old school dance and electronic music in one of the most well renowned venues. It’s a day out not to be missed with all proceeds going directly to this amazing cause.”

Dean, who lives in Irvine, joined SAS in 2022, having previously worked at NHS Ayrshire and Arran in palliative care.

Before his time in the NHS, the 31-year-old was a resident DJ in Ibiza for two summers and has supported well-known DJs over the past 12 years such as Joel Corry, Ian Van Dhal and Judge Jules.
