Media invite - SAS Integrated Clinical Hub

Media invite - SAS Integrated Clinical Hub: DSC8271 (1)-2

The Scottish Ambulance Service is holding a press call on Monday where Michael Matheson, Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care, will hear of the success of the Scottish Ambulance Service’s Integrated Clinical Hub.

The Hub provides assessments for all patients who are initially triaged as non-immediately life threatening and may benefit from a further virtual consultation and referral to other services in the community, rather than unnecessary trips to A&E.

Around 18,000 ambulance journeys have been avoided in the past four months thanks to the new hub, which was launched last December. A press release will be sent out on the day.

The media will be invited to attend between 11.30am and 12.30 where there will be an opportunity for media interviews.

Invited media will have a chance to interview:

  • Michael Matheson, Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care
  • Michael Dickson OBE, Chief Executive of the Scottish Ambulance Service

Grateful if you can RSVP by 4pm today.
