Restaurant donates £12K to Scottish Ambulance team in Dunvegan

A RESTAURANT has donated £12,000 to the Scottish Ambulance Service’s team in Dunvegan.

Every year, The Three Chimneys’ team vote to select a local charity to support with funds raised through guest donations.

Between 2024 and early 2025, guests dining in The Three Chimneys restaurant added a voluntary contribution to their bill in aid of the local ambulance service.

Rachael Jackson, Paramedic Clinical Team Leader Skye, Lochalsh and Raasay, said: “We are delighted to have received such generous support from a local business and are very grateful to The Three Chimneys.

“We will use this donation to support training development through the purchasing of equipment, as well as facilitating training opportunities for the crews throughout Skye and Lochalsh.

“This will further contribute to the robust and dedicated service the Scottish Ambulance Service provide to our community.”

Kieran Walker, General Manager of The Three Chimneys, said: “Thanks to the generous donations of our guests, we’re committed to providing ongoing fundraising support to local charities and communities on the island.

“This year, we’ve managed to raise over £11,905 for our local ambulance station right here at Dunvegan, which is operated by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“The Dunvegan Ambulance Station team do an incredible job of providing emergency medical services and patient transport in the Dunvegan area. Fundraising initiatives like ours allows the team to continue to enhance this vital public service, which we’re extremely grateful for.”

In previous years, The Three Chimneys has support a number of other local charities including Portree Food Bank and RNLI Portree.
