SAS football match raises £2,800 for Highland Hospice
A charity football match between two Scottish Ambulance Service teams in the North has raised more than £2,800 for a local hospice.
The match between Inverness and Ross-shire was held on September 6 and included operational staff members from Inverness, Dingwall, Nairn, Alness, Tain, Lochcarron and Fort William. Six staff from SAS’s North Ambulance Control Centre (ACC) also took part.
The Inverness team won 6-4 after a competitive match but most importantly, £2825 was raised for the Highland Hospice. Fantastic effort! Thanks also to Highland Alarms and The GMB Union for their respective donations
